The future of Lumpkin County volleyball was on display June 22-24, 2026 as dozens of young athletes participated in the annual Lumpkin Volleyball Kids' Camp.

Campers spent several days learning the fundamentals of volleyball, including serving, passing, setting, hitting and defensive skills, while also taking part in competitive drills and team-building activities. Throughout the week, players received instruction from the Lumpkin County coaching staff and current varsity players, gaining valuable experience in a fun and positive environment.

In addition to skill development, campers learned the importance of teamwork, communication, sportsmanship and work ethic - values that are central to the Lumpkin Volleyball program. The camp concluded with games and competitions that allowed participants to showcase the progress they made throughout the week.

Lumpkin Volleyball would like to thank all of the campers, families, coaches and student-athletes who helped make the week memorable. The program looks forward to continuing to grow the game and welcoming many of these young players back to future camps and volleyball events.

The future is bright for Lumpkin Volleyball, and our annual kids’ camp is another reminder of the strong passion for the sport throughout the Lumpkin County community.
